Abstract

Objectives:

- Provide an overview of the key figures and publications:

• The 1960s-1970s "anti-psychiatry" movement
• The modern "critical psychiatry" movement

- Compare and contrast these movements

-Consider and (hopefully) discuss ramifications for clinical practice

• Be able to better anticipate/address patient concerns
• Perhaps even questions assumptions underlying your clinical practice... and change?
