Depositing to the JDC
The Jefferson Digital Commons, or JDC, is Thomas Jefferson University’s open access institutional repository. It contains a variety of scholarly work from across Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Health.
Individuals, departments, centers, schools, or programs interested in submitting scholarly work can deposit the following items:
- articles
- presentations, lectures, and talks (Grand Rounds, conferences, symposiums, etc.)
- posters
- journals/newsletters
- capstone projects
- theses/dissertations
- student works
To deposit scholarly work in the JDC, you must:
- be a Jefferson/Jefferson Health/Jefferson-affiliated faculty, staff, researcher, or student
- own the copyright to the work you are interested in depositing
- have created the work while you were affiliated with Jefferson
- Note: Work created prior to joining or after leaving Jefferson cannot be deposited
- have the approval of a faculty advisor from your program, if you are a student who wishes to submit work created for a class, such as a final paper, capstone project, or thesis/dissertation
Release Form
To deposit to the JDC, you must complete the required JDC Release Form. If the embargo field is left blank on the form, your work will be made publicly available immediately. Send the completed JDC Release Form and the file(s) of your work to: digitalcommons@jefferson.edu.
The JDC Repository Manager will review your deposit request and either reach out with follow-up questions or confirm your work is available in the JDC.
