Objectives

• Discuss the impact autism characteristics have on the educational participation of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
• Describe intervention practices to enhance education participation for school aged (preschool and elementary) children with ASD.
• Apply evidence-based interventions within the scope of occupational therapy to enhance educational participation for children with ASD.
