Abstract

Objectives:

1. Discuss 3 differences in presentation that complicate the diagnosis of substance use disorders in older adults.
2. Describe current epidemiologic trends in disorders involving alcohol use, marijuana use, opiate use, and prescription drug misuse among older adults
3. Identify the most common substances use disorders among older adults.
