Abstract
Dr. Christopher T. Olivia is President and Chief Executive Officer at Continuum Health Alliance, LLC where he leads Continuum into the future with the development of its ambulatory service model. He has extensive experience working with venture-backed healthcare IT start-ups and is presently a board member of Foundation Radiology, a teleradiology company, and eviti, a cancer care management company.
This Forum presentation will focus on the key components of successful population health management in ambulatory settings. Dr. Olivia will also discuss the drivers of practice transformation and the impact of key secular trends on health care providers.
Dr. Olivia was recognized as one of the nation's 50 most powerful physician executives in 2010 by Modern Healthcare and Modern Physician magazines. In addition, he received Drexel University College of Medicine's Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2005, and was recognized in 2003 and 2004 as a "Top Doc" in New Jersey by South Jersey Magazine.
Dr. Olivia practiced medicine as a board-certified ophthalmologist. He earned his M.D. at Hahnemann Medical School in Philadelphia and completed his residency in ophthalmology at the University at Buffalo, State University of New York. Dr. Olivia later earned an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
