Abstract
As the Senior Vice President of Jefferson Strategic Ventures, Robin Sheldon will speak on Jefferson's vision for innovation and how it hinges on strategic relationships with industries, foundations, nonprofits, investors, and entrepreneurs.
The vision is to create unparalleled value through creative and profitable relationships with external companies. The values of Jefferson Strategic Ventures are: transparency, agility, collaboration, execution, and forward thinking. The goal is to deliver impact and return on investment in the clinical, revenue, reputation, and philanthropic areas.

Robin currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Jefferson Strategic Ventures for Jefferson Health and Jefferson University. She is responsible for reviewing, vetting, negotiating and implementing relationships in which Jefferson co-develops, tests, implements and/or distributes technologies across the Jefferson enterprise, which are then translated to other sites and settings across the United States. Robin joined Jefferson in 2008 and has served in various capacities, first as Associate University Counsel and then as Vice President of the Innovation Pillar. Robin is an attorney and started her legal career at Reed Smith Shaw & McClay in Pittsburgh, PA. She was General Counsel of Half.com, Associate General Counsel of Sanchez Computers, Counsel for SEI Investments, and a partner in the firm of Fox Rothschild before coming to Jefferson. Robin earned her JD from the University of Pittsburgh, where she graduated magna cum laude, Order of the Barristers and Order of the Coif. Robin also earned her MPIA from the University of Pittsburgh and was awarded the Presidential Management Internship. She received her bachelor’s degree from the College of Wooster, with honors in German and International Relations. Robin has been active in many organizations, including but not limited to The American Health Lawyers Association, the Association Internationale des Jeunes Avocats, The National Association of University & College Attorneys, the Association of University Technology Managers, American Bar Association, and the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
