APA Formatting & Style Demystified

Danielle Litwin-Moskowitz, MA, Thomas Jefferson University

Document Type Handbook, Guide or Manual

This self-paced, interactive tutorial is presented by the Student Writing Center at Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Jefferson University).

It'll take about 15 minutes.

In about the time it would take you to scroll through the latest Instagram stories, you'll become familiar with the basics of APA style and format. And hopefully, you'll gain an appreciation for why we use it and maybe even have some fun along the way.

There will be short quizzes at the end of each section to help you assess your understanding, and one longer one at the very end. If you want to share proof of completion with your professor, take a screenshot of your score on that last quiz.

Feel free to bookmark this tutorial for future reference.

Please note that this tutorial is not intended to be comprehensive; rather, it's designed to help you become familiar with the nuts and bolts of APA
