The Gibbon Surgical Society is the student-run surgical society of Sidney Kimmel Medical College and is dedicated to providing a variety of surgical experiences and educational opportunities for students who have an interest in the field of surgery. It is proudly one of the oldest and largest student-run societies at Jefferson, and aims to uphold the great tradition of excellent surgical education established by such individuals as Samuel D. Gross, M.D. and our namesake, John H. Gibbon, Jr., M.D.
