Abstract
Objectives:
- To understand the significance of physical inactivity on morbidity and mortality
- To understand the physiological and clinical benefits of regular exercise and physical activities for older adults
- To understand the current recommendations and guidelines of exercise and physical activities for older adults
- To understand the basics of exercise physiology and kinesiology for better understanding of exercise counseling and prescriptions for older adults
- To learn the principles of exercise prescriptions and counseling for older adults with different modalities
- To practice how to prescribe exercise prescriptions with some examples of patients with comorbidities
- To practice how to demonstrate the recommended home exercise for older adults
