Abstract
Learners will be able to:
- Define NAFLD and describe the progression of disease
- Complete a complete diagnostic work up for patients with suspected NAFLD
- Noninvasively assess degree of steatosis and fibrosis in patients
- Refer appropriate patients to GI for evaluation for liver biopsy
- Counsel patients on the appropriate lifestyle modifications pertinent to management of NAFLD
- Prescribe appropriate medications based on comorbid conditions for patients with NAFLD
- Perform appropriate testing to monitor patients with NAFLD
- Screen appropriate patient populations for NAFLD
