Abstract

Learning Objectives:

• Differentiate between the different types of prenatal diagnostic and screening tests for fetal aneuploidy
• Recognize the factors that contribute to decision making about genetic screening in the prenatal patient
• Evaluate the data that compares the miscarriage risk in amniocentesis and CVS
• Discuss the limitations of defining >35 as advanced maternal age
