Abstract
With the increased use of invasive vascular diagnostic and treatment modalities, complications such as IVC obstruction are being seen more frequently. In this case, more timely studies and an earlier stenting intervention might have resulted in successful recanalization of this man's IVC. Clinicians should be increasingly aware of these obstructive vascular complications and consider early consultation with interventional radiologists to prevent morbidity.
