My major research interests include:
- Mechanisms and regulation of insulin receptor signal transduction.
- Protein-tyrosine phosphatases and the regulation of hormone action.
- Pathophysiology of insulin-resistant disease states including obesity and Type 2 diabetes mellitus.
- Mechanisms of the complications of diabetes, including vascular signaling by adiponectin.
