This booklet included several charters, amendments and certificates which pertain to the legal establishment of Jefferson Medical College (1826) and later, Thomas Jefferson University (1969). Other institutions involved include Jefferson College in Canonsburg, PA (1802); the University of Pennsylvania (1838); and the Hospital of Jefferson Medical College (1878).
