Abstract
Hypotheses:
Carbonic anhydrases plays an essential role in maintaining the homeostasis of the disc microenvironment due to its hypoxic nature.
HIF1-alpha plays a crucial role in CA regulation within NP cells and as a result disc degeneration may be related to inappropriate CA regulation.
