Abstract
At the conclusion of this presentation the participant should be able to:
- To appreciate the trade-offs with the two fundamental mechanisms for improving patient outcomes—selective referral and quality improvement.
- To understand the gaps in our current approaches for improving patient outcomes in surgery.
- To learn how video analysis and peer coaching could be used to fill existing gaps in surgical performance improvement.
