Abstract
Introduction
Subclavian artery (SCA) aneurysms are exceedingly rare (~0.13% of peripheral aneurysms).
There are no criteria regarding size cut off for repair.
Surgery is indicated given risk of complications (thrombosis, embolization leading to CVA or UE ischemia, compression of adjacent structures).
- Open surgery (via median sternotomy, hemisternotomy, lateral thoracotomy, supraclavicular or axillary incision),
- Endovascular (stent graft, aneurysm sac coiling, kissing stents or combination)
- Hybrid (endovascular + extra-anatomic bypass).
