About the Presenter:
Erminia "Mimi" Guarneri, MD, FACC, is the founder and medical Director of the Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine. Dr. Guarneri served as an attending interventional cardiologist at Scripps Medical Center, where she placed thousands of coronary stents. Recognizing the need for a more comprehensive and holistic approach to cardiovascular disease, she pioneered the Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine where she uses state of the art imaging technology and lifestyle programs to diagnose, prevent and treat cardiovascular disease.
Dr. Guarneri has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles that have appeared in professional journals such as the Journal of Echocardiology and the Annals of Internal Medicine. She is also the author of "The Heart Speaks," a poignant collection of stories from cardiac patients who have benefited from integrative medicine approaches. Dr Guarneri has been a featured guest on the "Today Show."
