Abstract
Following this activity, a participant should be able to:
- Identify recent advances in integrative medical care and discuss their application to clinical practice.
- Describe the latest data on complementary and alternative medical therapies that could improve patient outcomes.
- Discuss core integrative medicine topics that patients frequently ask physicians about.
Objectives
- Review current AD facts and epidemiology
- Describe the Bredesen Protocol for reversal of cognitive decline in Alzheimer's Disease and the research behind it
- Describe the specific nutritional recommendations of the Bredesen Protocol and the evidence supporting its cognitive benefits

Dr. Reina Marino received a degree in Biology from Brown University and her Medical Degree from The Medical College of Pennsylvania. She completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at The Medical College of Pennsylvania Hospital. She received Board Certification from the American Board of Integrative and Holistic Medicine. Dr. Marino’s clinical interests include Preventive Medicine, Women’s Health, Nutrition, Weight Management, GI and Brain Health. She currently practices at Thomas Jefferson University’s Marcus Institute of Integrative Health in Villanova, PA.
