Abstract
Creutefeldt-Jakob disease is a fatal degenerative disorder of the central nervous system. The variability of its prodromal psychiatric and neurologic manifestation often obscures the diagnosis. This paper reports a case that illustrates the complexity of diagnosing this disease early in the clinical course, and offers a brief review of the literature.
