Abstract
Anne Docimo, MD, MBA, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at the Jefferson Health System.
Dr. Docimo, served as CMO for the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Health Plan and as Senior Medical Director for the Hospital Division of UPMC, a non-profit integrated health system operating more than 20 academic, community and specialty hospitals. All medical programs at UPMC Health Plan and all activities related to the delivery of health care, reported up through Dr. Docimo. Prior to her roles at UPMC, she was Director of Urgent Care and Community Medicine at Johns Hopkins Health System.
This Forum presentation will provide an overview of the various forces driving healthcare reform. The notion of patients as consumers and game changers will be discussed along with ways in which we can provide value to consumers.
Dr. Docimo received her bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame and her MD from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She completed her residency in emergency medicine at Georgetown University/George Washington University, and earned a Certificate in Medical Management from Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Docimo also has an MBA from Johns Hopkins University.
