Abstract
Arthur Boll is CEO of Germane Solutions, a Graduate Medical Education (GME) consulting firm aimed at helping academic medical centers and hospital organizations to establish new teaching programs or optimize existing programs. Mr. Boll is a nationally recognized expert in the financial, operational, and strategic issues associated with academic medical organizations, teaching hospitals, and health centers. As an industry leader with more than 35 years of graduate medical education experience, Boll is highly sought out by members of the medical community and has conducted training sessions and presentations to organizations such as the Association of American Medical College (AAMC), the American Hospital Association (AHA), the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH), and the Association for Hospital Medical Education (AHME).
Mr. Boll’s Forum presentation will provide an overview of the components and strategies needed to create new GME programs and transform existing programs. He will describe “GME from the Ground-Up” a five step model designed by Germane Solutions that helps organizations launch new GME programs. He will also identify innovative technology solutions aimed at improving decision-support and patient management. Additionally, Boll will discuss the characteristics of GME operational management, health access, and GME financing.
