Description
Dr. Albert Hoffa (4th from left) leads an orthopedic clinic on May 26, 1904 at 11 a.m. in the "Pit" of the 1877 Hospital Building. Dr. Hoffa, a surgeon and professor from Wurzburg, Germany, received an honorary degree of LL.D. at the JMC Commencement on May 27, 1904. Also identified in the picture is Dr. H. Augustus Wilson (Dr. Hoffa's host) and the nurse on the far right is J. Ellen Simmonds (JMC Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1904)
