Description
1860 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Medical Department. Honorary Professor of Laryngology, Jefferson Medical College, ca. 1882-1899. Co-founder of the American Laryngological Association (1878). Performed the first successful laryngotomy in the United States (1867), and closed field laryngectomy (1892).
