1819 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Medical Department. Professor of Surgery, Jefferson Medical College, 1824-1839. Dr. McClellan is the founder of Jefferson Medical College. Legend reads, "Engraved by W. Warner from a daguerreotype by M. P. Simons."
