Abstract
From the introduction: In this thesis I will examine the relations that a small minority group in South Africa have with the ruling white and the majority black sectors of the population. Through an examination of the internal class and ethnic structure of the Gujarati Indians of South Africa, and an analysis of the roles they play between the whites and blacks, I will analyze this small minority group's prospects of becoming further unified with the progressive forces for fundamental social change.
