Abstract

Objectives

- Summarize the state of HIV care and infection in the United States

- Discuss new guidelines and available agents for HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) & updated Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (nPEP) guidelines

- Review current HIV texting and monitoring/management guidelines

- Understand principles of antiretroviral therapy (ART) and highlight first-line treatment regimens

- Discuss recent updates in preventative care and chronic disease management considerations for persons living with HIV (PWH)
