Abstract
Objectives
- Recognize that both restrictive and muscularity-oriented disordered eating (MODE) exists in adolescent (and adult) males
- Understand that typical eating disorder screening tools assess for restrictive eating patterns only
- Realize the risks of bulking diets, crash diets, and supplements in young men, particularly young athletes
- Encourage you to incorporate diet and exercise history into your well-adolescent visits to screen for (un)healthy patterns
