Learning Objectives
At the end of this lecture, the listener will:
- Understand the epidemiology of autism in the USA
- Review the diagnostic criteria based on the DSM-IV and DSM-V
- Be familiar with the guidelines for autism screening
- Understand the use of the M-CHAT and M-CHAT-R/F for screening
- Know when and where to refer patients who screen positive
