Abstract
Goals for the learner:
- Become aware of the most recent epidemiological trends in HIV in Philadelphia
- Teach patients about the availability of PEP for high-risk exposures
- Determine appropriate patients and exposures for PEP
- Deliver PEP in a time-sensitive, evidence-based manner
- Counsel patients regarding adherence and side effects
- Determine the appropriate time to stop PEP
- Know where to seek help with PEP
