Objectives:
- Discuss the pathophysiology of G6PD deficiency
- Understand the diagnosis of G6PD deficiency
- Review the most common morbidities of G6PD deficiencies
- Recognize precipatating exposures for hemolytic anemia events
- Review anticipatory guidance for patients and their families

- Alternative screening tests used in resource-poor settings
- Debates around universal vs targeted screening
- Implications for malaria treatment
