Abstract
Historian Michael Angelo unlocks the Jefferson Siegman Archives to teach us about the kymograph—a device used by students in the late 19th and early 20th centuries for scientific research. The kymograph featured a rotating drum that recorded data onto paper or film to track pressure, movement or electrical activity over time. Widely used in physiology and neuroscience, it provided valuable insights into biological processes.
