- Identify the reasons for intensive care unit (ICU) admissions among HIV-infected patients
- Describe the impact of antiretroviral therapy (ART) on morbidity and mortality of critically ill HIV-infected patients
- Identify complicating issues of antiretroviral therapy in the ICU, specifically drug-drug interactions, drug administration concerns and alterations in pharmacokinetic properties of antiretrovirals
- Given a patient case, identify treatment strategies for the HIV-infected patient in the ICU
