Abstract
I am excited to once again share this year’s The Medicine Forum. It continues to open a window into the tireless commitment our residents bring to the bedside and to the field of medicine at large. As is uniquely our brand at Jefferson, the residents accomplish this with as much rigorous intellect as with their abundant enthusiasm and personality.
In an era where artificial intelligence has become an ever-burgeoning tool in the clinical landscape, the ingenuity displayed by our residents both in their artistic talents and their scholarly pursuits serves as a vital reminder. It reminds me that the practice of medicine is comprised as much by curiosity, creativity, and passion as it is by data and algorithms. For that reason, The Medicine Forum this year is truly a love letter to our residents and to our field. It showcases novel scholarship, remarkable inquiry, and exceptional clinical care, while highlighting the multifaceted skills of some of our best and brightest.
To our alumni, your guidance and generosity help sustain the opportunities and unparalleled experiences we offer our residents, including the tools we provide them to navigate the evolving challenges of medicine, whether technological or humanistic. To our current residents, your commitment to your patients, to the field, and to one another is an inspiration. Most importantly, your enthusiasm is what preserves and propagates the unique culture we love at Jefferson.
The Medicine Forum is more than just a showcase of our residents and their limitless talent; it is a reminder of what I love about this profession and a catalyst for me to continue bettering myself and the care we provide our patients. I imagine it will do the same for all its readers.
