Abstract
It is with great pride that we present this year’s edition of The Medicine Forum, a reflection of the passion, intellectual curiosity, and multidimensional talents that define our Internal Medicine residency program.
This journal continues to be more than a collection of case reports and research findings — it is a celebration of who we are as a community. It reflects our shared commitment to inquiry, creativity, and the art of medicine. From the rigor of original research to the introspection of narrative writing and the vibrancy of visual art, this edition captures the full spectrum of our residents’ voices.
We would like to extend our deepest appreciation to this year's editorial team. Their leadership, vision, and meticulous dedication have elevated this publication year after year. Their work behind the scenes has ensured that each contribution — whether scientific or expressive — is shared with the care and intention it deserves.
A special thank you is owed to Dr. Coppock, whose mentorship remains a cornerstone of The Medicine Forum. His encouragement and guidance continue to inspire the next generation of physician-scholars and educators.
As chiefs, we’ve had the unique privilege of watching our colleagues grow — not only as physicians but as thinkers, writers, and advocates. You’ve brought energy and thoughtfulness to everything from journal club debates to QI projects and national presentations. Your achievements speak not only to your individual excellence but also to the strength of our collective community.
As you flip through these pages, we hope you find inspiration in the work of your peers. May this edition remind us of the value of reflection, the importance of storytelling in medicine, and the joy of learning from one another.
To our residents: thank you for all you do to shape this program. Your curiosity, compassion, and drive will continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible in medicine.
