About This Journal
Perception is a student-run journal started by a passionate group of medical students at Sidney Kimmel Medical College (SKMC) of Thomas Jefferson University (TJU). The purpose of this journal is to give a voice to medical students interested in the surgical treatment of pathology in the head, neck, and CNS. The journal encompasses the fields of Neurosurgery, Otolaryngology, Ophthalmology, and Orthopedics (specifically, pathology of the cervical spine). Articles in Perception include but are not limited to research spotlights, opinion pieces, short-reviews of the literature, interviews, and student spotlights.
