Renee M. Tholey, MD, FACS, FASMBS, (Sidney Kimmel Medical College ’09, Jefferson Residency ‘15) has been promoted to Associate Professor of Surgery. Dr. Tholey specializes in bariatric and minimally invasive surgery and is Director of Surgical Undergraduate Education. She treats patients at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Jefferson Methodist Hospital and Jefferson Health–Navy Yard.
Talar Tatarian, MD, FACS, FASMBS, (Jefferson Residency ‘15) has been promoted to Associate Professor of Surgery. Dr. Tatarian specializes in bariatric and minimally invasive surgery. She is also Co-Vice Chair for Quality in the Department of Surgery and Enterprise Leader for Bariatric Surgery Research. She treats patients at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Jefferson Methodist Hospital and Jefferson Health–Navy Yard.
Congratulations to William B. Hughes, MD, FABA, on receiving the esteemed designation of Fellow of the American Burn Association (FABA). This designation encourages excellence, clarifies the referral process, and creates a publicly available benchmark to reference physicians that specialize in burn surgery. Dr. Hughes is the founding director of the Jefferson Burn Center.
