Abstract

This presentation will provide an overview on Consumer Health Informatics and describe how it may contribute to health improvement and reductions in health care disparities. Background information on health care disparities and the role of technology in helping to more precisely elucidate the pathogenesis of healthcare disparities will be discussed.
