Significant advancements in the field of retina are expected over the next decade.
Wet AMD: Emerging Therapies
Wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is a chronic eye condition and a leading cause of vision loss in older adults. It occurs when abnormal blood vessels grow beneath the macula. These vessels are fragile and prone to leaking blood or fluid, which damages the retina and leads to rapid central vision loss.1
