Dr. Sunil Sharma is the Director of the Sleep Disorders Center, Outpatient Services and PAH Program at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. Dr. Sharma was the Chair, PCMH Sleep Panel October 2010. Dr. Sharma's research interests include: obstructive sleep apnea, obstructive sleep apnea in adult sickle cell anemia patients, pulmonary hypertension and PAH in adult sickle cell anemia patients.

Overall Goals and Objectives

1. Discuss post-operative complications of obstructive sleep apnea.

2. Discuss cardiovascular implications of obstructive sleep apnea.

3. Recognize the role of obstructive sleep apnea.
