1. To understand the link between corticosteroid responsiveness and psychosocial stress.
2. To investigate the effects of stress on the pulmonary innate immune function during airway inflammation.
3. To understand the role of the surfactant protein D in regulating immune function in airway inflammation.

Dr. Angela Haczku is a Research Associate Professor of Medicine and Pharmacology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care Division. Dr. Haczku was awarded the American Lung Association Career Investigator Award (rank: 9.5%). Dr. Haczku's research interests are asthma and COPD.
