Abstract

Learning Objectives

• Review non-insulin glycemic lowering medications for patients with type 2 diabetes, specifically GLP-1 agonists and SGLT-2 inhibitors
• Understand their mechanisms, adverse effects, and dosing
• Address the most recent data to guide the use of GLP-1 agonists and SGLT-2 inhibitors in distinct populations
• Apply understanding of medication administration to case examples to enhance clinical skills
