Abstract

Learning Objectives

• Recognize signs of hearing loss
• Know what communication strategies and assistive technologies are available for use in clinic/office
• Identify health risks of untreated hearing loss
• Understand referral process to otolaryngology and /or audiology
• Understand different types of degrees of hearing loss
• General knowledge of what assistive technologies, hearing aids, and treatments are available to patients with hearing loss
