Abstract
Translations is devoted to the activities of the Department of Medicine at Jefferson Medical College. This issue includes articles about the Length-of-Stay initiative led by the Chairman as well as items on the Center for Translational Medicine, including a Q&A on "How Blood Vessels Heal" and a profile about research on "Viruses That Help Heart Failure." Articles also address "Optimal Care of Diabetic Inpatients," celebrating "A Liver Transplant Anniversary," and the 45th Annual Rehfuss Lecture.
