The program, Building the Chain of Safety, was held by the Jefferson School of Population Health at the College of Physicians of Philadelphia on Tuesday, June 7, 2011. The purpose of the program was to bring together a diverse group of stakeholders to discuss the issues and challenges of preventing the transmission of infection. Through the event JSPH gathered multiple perspectives and input into the development of guidelines that will help to safeguard patients, caregivers, and the community from the unnecessary spread of infection.
