1. Describe the epidemiology of the lung cancer epidemic.

2. Describe what happens to the risk of lung cancer following smoking cessation.

3. Describe the significance of spontaneous smoking cessation.

Abstract

Dr. Barbara Campling is a Professor in the Department of Medical Oncology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Since 2005, she has been a Member Medical and on the Scientific Advisory Board for The Lung Cancer Alliance: (National Lung Cancer Advocacy Group). Her research and interests are Stage IV lung cancer, diagnosis/treatment of lung cancer, surviving lung cancer, and smoking and exposure after lung cancer diagnosis.
