Abstract

Objectives:

1. Become familiar with conceptualizations and definitions of patient-centeredness including the IOM as a health care quality indicator.

2. Examine patient-centered communication in relation patient outcomes.

3. Examine patient-centered communication in relation to physician gender and attitudes toward racial minorities.

4. And, for something a little different-briefly describe the JHU/NHGRI Genetic Counseling Graduate Program.
