Abstract

Learning Objectives:

1. Know the diagnostic criteria for Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and how it differs from other anxiety disorders
2. Treat GAD with appropriate medications in the primary care setting
3. Have an appreciation for the use of benzodiazepines in the treatment of GAD
4. Be able to know when and how to safely wean patients off of anti-anxiety medications
