A graduate and esteemed professor of anatomy at Jefferson Medical College, William S. Forbes, M.D. (1831-1905) was falsely arrested in 1882 on charges of grave-robbing for use in student dissections. This pamphlet is a vindication of Forbes and shows him as a champion for a new law which provided medical schools with human cadavers, as passed by the Pennsylvania state legislature (1883).
